2022 Wills Week

Bookings open 1-19 August for appointments in September.

Wills Week is made possible through the generous support of solicitors who donate their time to ensure that 100% of your booking fee is donated to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and will be taking place in September 2022. Wills Week is a great opportunity to have a professional solicitor in your local area provide advice to establish your first Will or update an existing one. The cost is $125  for a single person (1/2 hour appointment) or $225 (1 hour appointment) for a couple making mutual Wills. Please note your Wills Week appointment fee does not include the drafting of Power of Attorney or Enduring Guardianships documents.

The donation facilitates you to have a meeting with a solicitor to receive advice about having a simple* Will drafted (*subject to terms and conditions listed below).

After you have taken care of your family and friends, when finalising your Will consider leaving a gift to a cause that is close to your heart and can have a profound and significant impact. Your support through a bequest can help the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service to achieve life changing outcomes for patients we assist in your local community for years to come. As part of Wills Week we will provide you with information about easy it is to give your support. Your Gift, Your Legacy, Your Service.

Steps to complete your online Wills Week Booking (for other methods to book call 1800 155 155):

  1.  Select from the table below the solicitor you would like to make an appointment with in your local area.
  2.  Follow the link to choose your preferred date and time that the solicitor has available.
  3.  Complete your booking and payment online.
  4. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to download and print the Wills Week Instruction Form (please note that for a couple booking each person must complete their own form). This form enables you to outline what you would like in your Will and must be lodged (by mail or in person) with your solicitor at least 14 days prior to your appointment. This enables your solicitor to pre-draft your Will document for you to review at your appointment. The link in the confirmation email will also have information for you about how you can establish a bequest in your Will to support the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
  5. Attend your Wills Week appointment to review and sign your drafted Will.

Importantly, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service does not have any access to the information contained on your Wills Week Instruction Form or details you place in your Will. All information remains strictly confidential between you and your solicitor.

Terms & Conditions

Refunds will only apply if your appointment is cancelled at least 5 business days prior to your appointment date. Please note your booking does not cover the drafting of any other estate planning documentation, including Power of Attorney or Enduring Guardian documents. The cost ($125.00 for a single person or $225.00 for a couple) will cover a ½ hour appointment for a single person, or a 1 hour appointment for a couple with your chosen solicitor. Should there be conditions you wish to have placed into your Will that are deemed by the participating solicitor to be over and above a ‘simple’ Will, the solicitor may provide instructions to you that a follow up booking be made with their firm and this will be at your own cost and not covered by the donation.

Your Will is being prepared by a solicitor and we, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, are not providing any legal advice as part of this process. The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service does not have any access to the information contained on your Wills Week Instruction Form or details you place in your Will. All information remains strictly confidential between you and your solicitor.
