​A-Plus Contracting Hunter Valley Mining Charity Rugby League Knockout Competition is the premier charity rugby league competition held in the New South Wales, Hunter Valley region.

The competition brings together over 400 coal mining employees from throughout the Hunter Valley and beyond to represent their respective mine sites. Each team competes in a 10’s style competition until one team is crowned champions and presented with the Charity Shield.  The day also includes a ‘Women In Mining’ series within the program.

​​​​Apart from what is ‘state of origin’ worthy rugby league action, there is always plenty of excitement, entertainment and fun for all spectators including young fans with jumping castles, amusement rides, face painting and giveaways throughout the day. The event is perfect for the family or a social get together with friends.

​​Gates open at 7.30am, with the first game at 9.00am.
